Our hardware is crafted in four finishes
Forge Finish -
Each piece is carefully wrought in the forge, then gently
buffed to enhance the natural texture of the metal. A clear
matte lacquer is applied to allow the subtle characteristics
to show through. Although this is our most popular finish,
it is suited for interior use only.
Painted Finish - This traditional finish has
three layers of finish to give durability to heavily
used or exterior hardware. Each piece is acid bathed
to ensure a proper bond of the primer, then two layers
of flat black lacquer are applied.
Oil Finish - A special formula of black pigmented
oil is burned into the iron at the time of forging.
This is a favorite finish, but a time consuming process.
Textured Finish -
A heavy texture finish accentuates the hand hammered surface
and beveled edges.
